I hope y’all had a great 4th of July celebration!
We left late for the drive to see family so we ended up driving the back roads.
I think I told you once or a million times how much I love taking the long way home! Anyway, we screeched into Kilgore just in time to go to the city park and soak in all the festivities.
Can you say apple pie, splash pads, fireworks and Chevrolet?
OK, I don’t think that’s how it goes but here are some pictures I took to give you an idea. I tried to make the twins go down the “Rocket Slide” that is basically a symbol of my youth!
They weren’t having it. It seems that they realized how hot the metal slide would be on their legs! I’m raising some smart girls! I almost slide down just for old times sake but it was so crowded! It was so nice seeing so many people enjoying the city park. It felt like old times.
