I discovered something huge last month when I started shopping for outfits for my son’s upcoming college graduation events.
THE RETURN OF THE PUFFY SLEEVE!
According to a Vogue Magazine article back in July 2020, when we were all at home in our pajamas, the puffy sleeve is here to stay!
Seriously, Vogue, don’t toy with me because this is a game changer!
Squeal! Said every single middle age woman that came of age in the 1980’s. Not only does the fashion trend bring back fond memories of our youth, it hides our middle aged upper arms in the most glorious of ways; Huge chunks of material!
I have had the best time shopping for clothes for the summer. I have taken my fully vaccinated self around to my go-to places for clothes with several social invitations in my purse!
We get to see each other, IN PERSON!
I did my semi-annual Ross trip where I try and find sundresses and cotton tops for the brutal heat of Texas. I had to pace myself because there were so many different things that I loved!
I may have to clean out my closet again!
I wore this outfit to my son’s graduation. It was lightweight and nice and cool. But the shoes I wore were way cuter! Come on Target, those look frumpy!
This picture of me is horrible but the big Stud wanted to capture me holding that umbrella that I held for 2 hours to shield me and my daughter from the brutal heat. And there were hurricane force winds that day and I had to throw my hair up just so I could see the graduation ceremony. But wind, heat, awful stadium seats and bad hair were not keeping me from watching my son graduate from college!
So proud of our Pirate!
I went shopping again this weekend for an upcoming engagement party. And I found another cute dress with the perfect sleeves and 3 more things to wear that are perfect for summer. I’m not sure how the fashion world finally lined up all the stars for the middle age woman but I am HERE. FOR. IT.
Happy almost summer.
Happy almost Fiesta.
Happy bargain shopping.
Hope to see you around looking all cute in your puffy sleeves!
Stay Sassy Y’all.
