I had an hour to kill between appointments the other day and I suddenly realized that I was near one of my favorite quirky stores, Karolina’s.
I don’t go in there very often but when I do, I always ask myself, “Why don’t I come in here more often?” I have very intelligent conversations with myself.
I used to have the luxury of time to browse around and shop. Those days are long gone since I now have 3 children. I am always in a hurry. On those rare occasions that I have time on my hands, I want it to be worth it. I knew that this store would be and then some.
There is just something about Karolina’s that makes me happy. I get this rush of endorphins when I look around in their store that has jewelry and clothes. Their other store with the same name 2 doors down has mostly antique furniture and fixtures and knick knacks of all kinds.
They are located off of Blanco behind this roundabout.
Even the public art in front of the store is cool.
If you drive past this structure then you need to turn around!
They have new and used clothing.
Lots of fancy dresses.
They have new and used jewelry too.
I am pretty sure this case had all new items.
The prices are incredible.
Incredibly low, that is.
I don’t know where she finds all her unique items but I love them.
I wish I had the budget to buy it all.
That yellow chair is just screaming my name.
I screamed back, “I have 3 sticky children, no new furniture for me!”
I think I need a rooster, longhorn head and some fake flower balls!
Or maybe not.
But it sure is fun looking at it all.
This would be perfect for an entry way.
It is made from an old door.
I think it was 375.
Can you believe that?
No, me either.
Does anybody need a cowboy bench?
Pretty sure it was 150.
Don’t quote me.
I have a terrible memory.
I blame it on the three sticky children.
I have absolutely nowhere to put this ice chest but isn’t it so neat?
It would be perfect on a covered back patio of someone’s house that has a covered patio!
I don’t have a covered back patio.
Darn it!
I love this necklace.
I can see wearing it with a white cotton sundress.
Too bad it won’t be me wearing it.
I promised myself I wouldn’t bring home anymore costume jewelry. I desperately need to organize what I already have. Sigh.
It’s hard being a grown up. I am now wishing I bought it.
Guess how much it is?
No, lower. No,lower than that. Give up?
It is on sale for $21.
Honey, I know, that’s cheap!
I enjoyed our little virtual browsing together.
I hope you got a little endorphin rush too!
Bargains make me so happy.
