Jacketpalooza

By Laura Nivin 2 Comments

The hubby’s big work gala is only 8 days away and I just started shopping for the dress today. I only had a couple of hours so I was in high focus mode, well I was until I walked in Marshall’s and saw a sea of pretty jackets. I couldn’t believe how many different styles they had in stock and so many colors to choose from. I kept telling myself to stay focused but I couldn’t help it. I grabbed a few to try on and then took some pictures to share with you. I should have taken a picture of their dressing rooms. The Marshall’s near my house remodeled their entire store and the dressing rooms make you feel like you are shopping on Rodeo Drive, just so fancy.  They put lighting on the mirrors that really help you see the entire outfit.  This is always important except for bathing suit season. Lighting is optional when you shop for bathing suits.
Here are a few pictures of some of the jackets. I took them with my phone camera.

This was my favorite. It kind of looks like the Livin’ Sassy logo! They only had 2 left in size small. I guess everyone wants a sassy jacket.

Not crazy about the grey color but this jacket looks better when you try it on.

The texture makes it look a lot more expensive than $29.

Love the color, love the peplum on the bottom, love, love, love. It is only $29. More love.

This is the coolest rain coat I have ever seen, and it is a London Fog. $49. Sigh. I just wish we had more rain to wear it in South Texas.

I know this isn’t exactly a jacket but it is perfect to wear with them. It is a line by Valerie Bertinelli.

Did we really need another reason to love her? She is darling, funny, resilient and she designs some cute clothes.

I guess I should mention it is only $16. Honey, I know, it is cute. Go get one.

Now I have 7 days left to find a dress! My quest for the gala dress continues………

I am a sucker for a jacket!!! I love the pink and the green … but you have to tell me: which Marshall’s?? I haven’t been a luxurious Marshall’s — ever.

The one at I 10 and DeZavala! It is awesome! The shoe dept is so much better than it used to be. They have really cool shoes for kids too! They had so many other cute things but I was in a hurry, go figure!
