Flying L Water Park

By Laura Nivin Leave a Comment

The heat is on in San Antonio.

If you have kids then you know that it almost a necessity if you are playing outdoors to find some water somewhere to cool off.

We have season passes to a local theme park but their waterpark gets very crowded. I don’t like places that are too crowded to move and neither do my kids.

Last year, we found the perfect place to suit our needs.

The Flying L Ranch’s Water Park is located in Bandera. It’s a quick and scenic drive up Bandera Rd. It is located on the Flying L Guest Ranch. The ranch is a hotel that is much like a dude ranch. You will feel as if you stepped back in time or might be on an old western movie set. The waterpark is open to the public. It is smaller than a theme park but this the main reason we why we love it so much. It doesn’t have the huge slides and rides that you might expect to see in some larger places but it is still a lot of fun. I had a group of teenagers with me last year and they had a blast, especially on the lazy river. We are going back in a few weeks when we have the same out of town visitors. We can’t wait! The prices are pretty reasonable too and you can even purchase a season pass. We usually go on their half price Monday or $10 Tuesday.

There is food available for purchase by the waterpark so you can order there and eat right by the pool area in your bathing suit. There are also a lot of great places to visit in downtown Bandera that offer a bigger variety of food choices.

If you love drives out in the country and new places to try, then this is a great place to discover with your friends and family.

You can visit these two websites for more details to plan your visit flyingl  (the waterpark icon is at the bottom right of the main page) and banderacowboycapital

Stay Sassy Ya’ll.
