Good Saturday Market and then some

I had a terrific Saturday. I decided to just ignore all my chores and get outdoors with the family. It started out at the Good Saturday Market next to the Josephine Street Cafe. It was their first Saturday to hold this flea market and I was pleasantly surprised. They had live music, smoothies, crepes and a variety of vendors. It wasn’t huge but just enough to whet your appetite for what I am sure will be a growing monthly event. They will be held every month on the 4th Saturday of each month. I took along my only child that likes to shop. She thoroughly enjoyed herself and so did the dog!  The website for more details is  www.garageofgood.com. Here are a few pictures that I took to give you some idea of the experience.

This is jewelry from El Sol Studios on the left and Pulquerious on the right. These ladies were a lot of fun. Very unique and beautiful pieces.

Well you know we had to find the chocolate booth. I guess he is Mr. Chocolatier! The dog is ours. Meet Sofie Jane.

I could have bought their entire inventory. I loved so many things but a clearer head prevailed. It is called Jewerly Addict and I am addicted. They have a website. It is www.jewelry-addict.com.

The items at this booth were all hand made by team members of the Texas Foundation of Hope. It is a program for adults with special needs. Now I really wish I could have bought their booth out! The crosses were stunning! I saw one of the Mom’s from my daughter Catherine’s preK class with a group of her girlfriends in the booth! Aren’t they cute!  The website is www.texasfoundationofhope.com.

We then went to eat out on the glorious patio at Two Step with the whole family. I will blog about it tomorrow in more detail. I will tease you with a picture! Broccoli casserole and roasted corn. There aren’t enough adjectives to describe my love of this corn.

The day ended with capturing some pictures of the twins in the wildflowers. My boy would not pose with his little sisters. I knew this day was coming. Sigh.

Oh, they make me smile.

And smile some more.

When we got home from taking pictures my man was cleaning the kitchen. I didn’t even ask him to. Or drop a hint. I told you it was a great day.
