If you are in need to transport yourself to Europe without having to purchase a ticket, then the new Eilan Hotel is the place for you. I was not prepared for the sight of this new development as I rounded the curve of the road that leads to their doorway. The view as I drove closer to the destination reminded me of a similar drive I made in Europe back in 1997. I felt as if I was among the many piazzas that I had fallen in love with in Italy those many years ago. The piazzas where you leisurely sip wonderful espresso and eat gelato while watching the fashionable people stroll by seemingly unaware of their spectacular surroundings.
One of my favorite features of Livin’ Sassy is informing my readers as to the latest events and happenings around San Antonio. I truly cannot wait to share with you the photos that I took of my friends around this beautiful new hotel. When I visited this hotel recently to scout out a location for my Sassy Mom model friends to pose in some of the latest trends from Francesca’s, I was taken aback. I couldn’t believe that something so unique and beautiful was located right off the interstate that I travel almost every day. How could I have not known about its grandeur? I had heard the buzz about the new restaurant Sustenio. Since I had moved here from Dallas and had the opportunity to eat at Stephan Pyle’s restaurants on a few special occasions, I was anticipating the opening of his new venture in San Antonio. Seeing the combination of hotel, restaurant, and residences on the property is a different experience entirely.
Hopefully, these pictures of the hotel and restaurant area will give you an idea as to our excitement about our recent night out at the Eilan. The ladies in these pictures are all friends I met at the San Antonio Mother of Multiples group. I couldn’t think of any more deserving Moms to spend a night out in this luxurious hotel. We explored the hotel and stopped and posed for pictures to share with you.
Livin’ Sassy loves to bring you the latest trends and fashions with the help of her beautiful mom friends. I dare say that my friends rival any of those fashionable people I stared at one warm Italian evening so long ago!
The view of the spectacular steps and fountain leading up to the hotel.
It reminds me of the Spanish Steps in Rome near the Piazza Trinita dei Monti.
Your first vision as you turn off of LaCantera Parkway.
This gazebo will be the site of many photo opportunities in the future.
I am sure of it.

Pretending to be models makes you thirsty.

The lights change colors.
Cheers to you ladies!

The design of the bar and restaurant is hip, trendy but classic at the same time.
A very relaxing combination, just like our models!
We made our way to the patio area outside of Sustenio.
They are windswept and fabulous!
A trolley runs through the property.
We had just missed it.
Yet another reason to come back!
One last view of our night that ended with drinks on the patio of Sustenio among the towering palm trees.
We are now back to the busy reality of being mothers of twins and triplets after being transported to Europe.
We hope you can get a night away real soon too.

I loved this blog. Not one to shop at La Cantera, due to a recent self-imposed spending moratorium, I would have never known about this beautiful hotel. Thanks!
