It is almost time for the 2012 Holiday Ole’ Market. It starts on Wednesday, October 24th with a ticketed preview party and runs until Saturday, October 27th with general admission shopping.
It is the Junior League of San Antonio’s biggest fundraiser and one of the sassiest events you will ever attend!
I am a sustainer in the Junior League of San Antonio. It basically means that I am retired from JLSA but continue to support them by paying dues. I served on the Ole’ Market committee while I was an active member of the League. I spent many volunteer hours along with countless other members striving to make each event a bigger and bigger success. Successful events are what allows the JLSA to donate money directly back into the community.
I will make no apologies in singing the JLSA’s praises, as well as the Holiday Ole’ Market! Honestly, I get kind of giddy just thinking about it!
These ladies work hard and it is all for charity! The least you can do is grab a friend and do a little entertainment shopping to show them your support.
I stopped by Anniegogglyn to take some pictures to give my readers an idea of what they will be seeing on display at Holiday Ole’ Market. They are one of the over 90 merchants that will offer an array of merchandise for a unique and boutique-like shopping experience.
The store is located in Alamo Heights right next door to Cappy’s Restaurant.
You can doing a little shopping and then go eat some lunch!
Here are Tara Schramek and Allison McAnelly. They are native San Antonionians, fashionistas and owners of Annigogglyn and Anniegogglyn Kids.
They have such fun personalities and it really shows in the decor of the store.
This is the fourth year for them to participate in Holiday Ole’ Market.
It is a lot of work to recreate the feel of their shop at an off site location but it is an event that they look forward to every year.
They will be featuring clothing to wear to parties during the holiday season for the ladies. They have some Santa Claus kid inspired outfits for family photos and events too. They are packing up so many more cute things. You will just have to go find their booth and see for yourself!
Do y’all remember Jaime? She is a twin Mom,teacher and a Sassy Mom model.
I asked her to meet me so I could take her picture showing off some of Anniegogglyn’s clothes. She happily obliged.
She is wearing a faux fur vest paired with a gorgeous silk blouse. It is pulled together with the very trendy orange colored skinny jeans.
The vest is $69 The jeans $65. The blouse is $135
Next she is showing off her cowgirl boots in this fringe dress.
Doesn’t it look great on her?
She stays fit by running.
The girl can run 10 miles before breakfast!
The dress is only $46
The purse is $125
We had to show you this silver dress that is the perfect outfit for a party.
I just love the scarf with it. It really brings out Jaime’s eyes.
She met her handsome husband for lunch right after I finished taking her picture.
And then it was quickly back to the reality of being a mom of twin girls.
The dress is $45. The scarf can be purchased for $22.
I wanted to show you a few pictures inside of Anniegogglyn Kids that is located right next door.
The children’s store has been open a little over two years.
They offer baby gift items and kids clothing.
They even have a dedicated tween section.
I fell in love with these light fixtures.
Apparently, so did everyone else! They now offer them for sale at the store too.
You can brighten up your room with one of these for $160

I’ve lived here 3 years and have never been to the holiday ole market. If it’s as great as you say it is I’ll have to check it out this year.

It is so fun! I always buy ornaments and wrapping paper. There are always things that you can have personalized while you shop. The pajama party is new this year so I might have to chech that out. I usually go back twice because you can’t see it all in one trip. Check the website if you have small kids because there are stroller restrictions!
