Forgive me for not posting much over the last couple of days. I have been busy cleaning out my hard drive and moving pictures over to my new portable one that will hold up to 250,000 pictures! I guess that will last me awhile. Should last me at least through Fiesta! Yeah! Fiesta is almost here. I can’t wait. I have big plans of doing Sassy on the Streets every single day during Fiesta. I will also be taking pictures of my Bunco group in Fiesta fashions in and around Market Square. Hopefully, it will give you some good ideas for what to wear. If you have never been to an event and you live in San Antonio, then shame on you! You have to promise me that you will go to at least one event this year. In upcoming posts, I will explain to you what Fiesta is all about and give you the Sassy Girl’s guide to the different events so you can plan accordingly. For instance, if you are a newbie, then you really don’t want to jump right in with NIOSA on college night! OK, I am rambling on about Fiesta but I just love it. You are now forewarned that Sassy will be all over Fiesta events!
Let’s talk about this weekend! Here are some new events and places to try in the beautiful weather. Oh, I love new experiences!
Garage of Good is holding its very first Good Saturday Market tomorrow March 24 from 9am to 3pm. Think a nice flea market. There will be textiles, clothes, art and more. They will have live music, food, coffee and there is no entry fee! Dogs are welcome on a leash. It is under the Hwy 281 bridge so when you are done there you can walk on over to the Farmers Market. The website is www.garageofgood.com for more details.
The Point Park and Eats is the newest food truck park located out Boerne Stage Rd and I-10. My family went last weekend to their soft opening and LOVED it. It was very laid back with ample seating below the big shade trees. There is a cash bar, live music and a kids playscape and basketball court. Oh yeah, the food was fantastic! You never really know what food trucks will be there when you drive up because some run out of food or they travel from other locations. This is part of the fun! Trying out new things and at very reasonable prices for the quality of the food. Go. Bring the hubby and drag your kids along. You will have a good time. I promise. The website is www.pointparkandeats.com.
I had lunch today at a fairly new restaurant called Two Steps. The food was delicious and it has a gorgeous back patio with a green space for the kids to play. I am going to take the family back this weekend. I feel in love with their bathroom. Do I need to have a separate feature about restaurant bathroom decor? Lately, I love the bathrooms in Z Tejas,Green, the new Perico’s and now Two Steps. I hope to have that post up by Sunday but the weather is so gorgeous that I might be just hanging out in the outdoors! Their website is www.twosteprestaurant.com if you are just dying to see the bathroom decor for yourself and can’t wait for my full review! There are also a ton of bluebonnets across 1604 from the restaurant and the restaurant itself has plenty of photo opportunities. It is a beautifully renovated homestead from the 1860’s. I can’t wait to share it with you. It is truly one of a kind.
I will be spending a lot of time this weekend trying to get decent bluebonnet pictures. This picture is from a couple of years ago. I bought the girls their dresses today for this year’s picture at Costco. They are adorable and only 15.00. I love Costco. It completes me. Please wish me luck trying to get my 13 year old boy to pose for pictures this year.
Enjoy your weekend.
Love ya’ll.
