Where do you get your home design inspiration?
Magazines like Southern Living or House Beautiful?
HGTV or websites like Houzz?
Well, if you are like most of my girlfriends, it’s a combination of all of them.
And of course, the thing they love the most is seeing designs in person at a new model home!
When we were talking about this topic the other day at lunch, they all agreed that there’s nothing like seeing designs inside a home. There is just something about all of these ideas and trends coming together. And we all thought that feeling the textures in the fabrics, furniture and tapestries as well as the curtains and pillows was important too. Apparently, women like to experience design ideas with all of their senses. It all culminates for great inspiration!
When one of my clients that I was scheduled to meet was running late, I took the opportunity of some free time to stop by and preview a brand new model home. I already had my camera in my trunk to take some pictures for a different out of state client.
The just finished model home is located in The Overlook at Stonewall Estates. The newest Sitterle Home is at the very top of the hill and overlooks much of Northwest San Antonio. The street was buzzing with activity, I almost couldn’t find a place to park. This is further evidence that new home construction is back and in a big way!
The model home furniture had just been delivered and they were still finishing up a few of the rooms. The interior designer of this particular model home is the firm, Finishing Touches. I know Kelly Scully by reputation and seeing her design work through the years at numerous Parade of Homes around San Antonio. She is very talented, indeed!
What I loved most about the interior design of this home were the elements of elegance, warmth and function all blended together.
It defines Texas Hill Country living to perfection!
Sit back and enjoy because I took a lot of pictures. It might be sensory overload. I couldn’t help myself!
I am so relaxed after looking at all the pictures of this gorgeous home.
Do you have a favorite room?
I think mine is the game room, or maybe the master bedroom with all those windows, or the guest bedroom with all those pillows!
It’s just too hard to decide.
I might just keep my camera with me all the time. You just never know what you can see when you get an unexpected moment!
Beautiful design inspiration.
Stay Sassy Y’all.

I’m loving that bedroom with the Texas limestone wall. I wouldn’t have thought of adding that into a home. Looks great. AND THAT POOL! Can I count that as a favorite room??? ~jen
