I attended the 5th annual Luminaria this weekend after it had moved from the regularly scheduled date back in March. (Click for original post LUMINARIA-AGIFTTOOURCITY ) San Antonio came out and made it a record setting crowd of over 315,000. If the crowd grows much bigger, I hope they consider expanding it beyond the HemisFair Park footprint. Everyone seemed to have a great time and enjoyed all that is unique that this night has to offer. Art in the form of light is beautiful indeed!
Here are some pictures from the evening. My husband took most of them. I never realized how hard it is to photograph night events until attempting it on Saturday. He was much better at it than me!

There were musicians on various stages throughout the park.
Solo Cups as Art. Excellent way to spruce up a hard hat area and entertain at the same time. Brilliant.
It was a very popular place to be!
The night was even more magical under a super moon!
The Pac Man themed art work was a nice surprise and caused lots of smiles!
My husband captured this shot. The lights were reflecting off of a building!
Spectacular to see!
Bright,Vivid,Marvelous.
This was just as breathtaking in person!
There was a bell below that observers were encouraged to ring.
The Tower of the Americas is in the background.
Oh my, I love our city!
Hope to see you next year.
