My twins participated in the Girl Scouts Investiture tonight. They were pinned at the ceremony.
I guess this is the official date that they start their Girl Scout career!
I didn’t know how my daughter Catherine would do. As with everything I have learned having one twin with special needs, you just try and hope for the best.
And the best it is! She loves it and so does her twin, Savannah. I couldn’t have been any happier about the whole experience. Well, maybe if my Mom was still here so she could share in my joy.
I don’t post very many pictures on the blog of my children; mostly for reasons of privacy and it’s not really a blog about my children. But the day before my Mom died last month, I had done my very first post featuring the twins. My sister Janie showed it to her on her phone. She said Mom had squealed with delight at how much she loved seeing all the pictures on the post. They were shots that I had taken at the SAS Factory General Store. It reminded her of the town of Talty where she had grown up. She of course, went on and on about how beautiful her granddaughters looked. She died the next day. And I almost didn’t post it for her to see.
I was second guessing if I should point out whether one of the twins has special needs. I went ahead and posted it without acknowledging it because I wanted to make a point that it just really isn’t worth mentioning. They are both just who they are regardless of how many chromosomes they each may have.
I am so glad I did.
It is yet another lesson of living with no regrets. I just regret she’s not here because she would squeal with delight over this picture too.
I just hope they have an internet connection in heaven.
Stay Sassy Y’all.

Laura she may not be squealing with delight where you can see and hear her, but I promise she is still squealing with delight, pride and joy. They are always with us and see we just don’t get to hear the comments and reviews!!! Love you my sweet friend!!!

The twins are a beautiful pair and we are so happy to have them both in our troop! I am excited that Catherine had a good time. Speaking from experience with special needs children, they are blessings. We learn a lot about life from these children. In actuality, all of us have special needs. God gives us opportunities to grow with each other. Judy
