Fiesta is almost here! For my non-San Antonio readers, Fiesta is 11 days worth of events that San Antonio’s local non-profits as well as military units put on to help raise money for our community. The proceeds are targeted towards education and scholarships to help our local youth. It showcases San Antonio’s diverse and rich culture through over 100 events beginning Thursday, April 19th until Sunday, April 29th. Those are fancy words for “It’s a party!” And a very fun party. You need to come and see it for yourself!
All these events require a lot of festive outfits. I couldn’t think of a better group of women to show you some wonderful Fiesta attire than my Bunco group. They have been coming together for food,drink and conversation for almost seven years. Somewhere over the course of these years, a little Bunco is played every now and then.
We all met at Market Square in downtown San Antonio recently to pick out some clothes to wear for our Sassy Mom models. We wanted to put looks together to share with our Livin’ Sassy readers and show off the jewelry that one of our Bunco members designs. It is called Carolyn Cole Originals. She makes one of a kind necklaces with gorgeous beads and earrings that match. She made a line specifically with a Fiesta theme in mind. I just love all the outfits and especially the jewelry modeled by some of the most delightful people you will ever meet.
Our first Sassy model is Vickie. The color of this dress is breathtaking and so is her smile. She must have been thinking about her grandson. She is a little smitten with that boy!
This cobalt blue dress is $41 and her coordinating necklace is $48. This design of the necklace includes cascarone eggs! So perfect for Fiesta!
Robyn is a busy wife,mother and successful local realtor. She slowed down long enough to pose in this trendy top and skirt combination. The necklace is almost as bright as her eyes!
Her multi-colored top is $29 and lace bottomed skirt is $31.
The necklace has a very unique cross entwined with the beading. It is exquisite and $60.
Marsha has the most wonderful laugh you will ever hear. What a wonderful gift. You can almost see that in this picture. She is gorgeous inside and out!
Her patterned blouse is only $26 and the necklace and earrings $42.
Heather looks stunning in this multi-patterned halter dress. She can wear this to a Fiesta event or a special night out with her handsome husband. When she isn’t busy being a Livin’ Sassy model, she chases after her two cute toddler children and works as an occupational therapist.
Her long flowing dress is only $35 and her perfectly matching necklace and earrings are $48.
Dorothy travels the world with her husband and looks out of this world in this dress! Wow. I am pretty sure that her grandkids will think their Grandma is a real model! I just love everything about this dress. The print,the sash and beautiful spirit of Dorothy. She is one of a kind.
This animal print dress is $34 and the coordinating necklace and earrings are $42.
Mary is looking beautiful in this turquoise colored halter dress. This is the perfect picture of her because she is in front of one the city’s B Cycle stations. She recently competed in the inaugural bike tour of the San Antonio Rock and Roll Half Marathon. Go Mary Go!

Carolyn is THE Carolyn in Carolyn Cole Originals. She is so very talented. She made every single item of jewelry worn by our Sassy Mom models. She owned a store located in Market Square for many years called Nanny’s Nook. She started to design jewelry as a way to relieve her stress after receiving the diagnosis of her daughter Tracy’s cancer. Every single bead is put on with love and care. I feel so blessed to know this wonderful lady. She is a gift to all who know her.
