The 11th annual Concordia Lutheran Church’s Drive Thru Nativity in tonight and tomorrow night. It snuck up on me so I wanted to give you a quick reminder.
The holidays are such a busy time of the year. The story of the “The Gift” is such a unique way to remember to slow down and reflect on what the season truly means.
The members of the church spend their weekend acting out parts in the display, sometimes in very bad weather conditions. Their hard work has made this event a favorite tradition for our friends and family.
Ever since the twins were in infant seats, we have worn our pajamas and sipped hot chocolate while being told the story of Christmas on our car’s DVD player. They even hand out home baked cookies and dog treats for the canine family members.
And after enjoying the church’s event for the past nine years, it will be the first time our teenager will be the one doing the driving.
There are many reasons that I will be saying my prayers as we enjoy this live production!
If you go during peak times of 7 to 8 pm, you might have to wait but it sure is worth it.
Concordia Lutheran Church’s Drive Thru Nativity is Saturday, December 6th and Sunday, December 7th from 5 to 9pm.
We have a lot of friends that attend this church. We love to see who we might recognize in the play from year to year.
Thank you again for your gift to our family of a very special tradition.
Stay Sassy Y’all.

The weather last night was glorious, especially after the very cold temperatures last year. This is Sarah’s first year to participate and she joined me and Hannah as a singing angel. Stacy also made his acting debut as a Wiseman. It is such a privilege to serve the community in this way. I’m so glad it is part of your family’s Christmas tradition.
