Change and Adaptability

Change. Adaptability. These are two words that I have been using quite a bit lately, not only in my personal life but my professional life as well. Salute to America

Wonderland of the Americas Mall is set to host the 2nd Annual Salute to America this Saturday, June 30th beginning at 6pm to 10pm. It is a FREE outdoor music celebration of Independence Day. The location is the Americas Amphitheatre which is known for hosting the Balcones Heights Jazz Festival. The music line up will include the San Antonio Symphonic Band, the Primetime Jazz Orchestra and the Latin Hip Hop group, Kingz 1. Here’s to our Heroes Military Parade

San Antonio loves a parade. The nation’s first ever event, Here’s to Our Heroes Military River Parade is set for this weekend along our beautiful River Walk beginning at 3pm. How fitting that Military City USA will be the site of such a wonderful event. It will take place on National Armed Forces Day, Saturday May 19, 2012. The City of San Antonio is going to dye the river blue as a unique honor for our Armed Forces. Scenes from Fiesta at the VFW

Our local VFW 76 that is located on the Museum Reach portion of the River Walk, hosts a family friendly Fiesta event. Not only is it the oldest VFW post in Texas but it is housed in the most exquisite building. The proceeds from their Fiesta event will help support renovations in this historic Victorian mansion as well as offer financial assistance to their veterans in need.
