Staycation Day 5 and 6

Welcome back to our week long series of Operation Staycation! So far, we have gone swimming at our neighborhood pool a couple of times, went to Fiesta Texas, a waterpark in Bandera and a state park in Blanco. We have eaten some wonderful food and some so-so meals! Overall, we are just happy to hang out together and I am happy to avoid doing the dishes. Hoover’s Cooking

I bet you think this is a food blog since I have been posting about food places so much. Well, we eat out a lot in the summer. We have a ton of out of town visitors since we live in such a tourist destination plus it is really hard to turn on the oven when it's 100 degrees from June until the end of August! New Places to Try in Town among the Bluebonnets!

I guess that will last me awhile. Should last me at least through Fiesta! Yeah! Fiesta is almost here. I can't wait. I have big plans of doing Sassy on the Streets every single day during Fiesta. I will also be taking pictures of my Bunco group in Fiesta fashions in and around Market Square. Hopefully, it will give you some good ideas for what to wear. If you have never been to an event and you live in … [Read more...]

Another Food Truck Location

The Point Park and Eats opens this weekend! They have had a very long process of getting open and approved for business. I have been eagerly anticipating its opening ever since it was announced over a year ago. It looks as if it will be a fabulous addition to the San Antonio food truck scene. I have never had a bad meal from a food truck. The ingredients are always fresh and the food inventive and at a reasonable price. The Point will have five different food trucks for their soft opening this Saturday and Sunday, March 17th and 18th.  Their website says that will offer food, art and a … [Read more...]
