  7. Laura,

I was looking at Kathryn’s facebook and saw the pic of Kathryn (Rettes) then went to your webpage and found ME!!
I was so excited to see the picture of Kathryn and me with Tom Landry (even though I closed my eyes, lol)! Congrats on
    Living Sassy! Angela

    • Yeah Angela! I begged her and Janie to give me some of their Rangerette pictures and she didn’t want to leave out the Tom Landry one with her BFF! I just loved to watch you all doing the high kick! I have a lot of posts about Kilgore! What a great place to grow up! Hugs to your sweet family.

  8. Hello Hello – loved your BLOG PRAYER today – you should never feel you need to apologize for that! Love reading your blog and it gives me lots of ideas for a staycation with my grandkids!

    • Thank you Nancy. My husband was teasing me about taking my readers through all kinds of emotions-I guess this would be the “Life” part of the blog! I am so glad you enjoy reading it. Take care.

  9. Jessica E. says:

I came across your site while looking for reviews on Flying L’s waterpark. I’m originally from San Diego but I have lived on the east coast and midwest. My husband and our 3 kiddos have been in San Antonio for 8 years. I love your site! It seems like you understand that with 3 kids every activity does not have to be an episode of “My Super Sweet 16.” The simplicity of taking a picnic to a park does not mean you’re not fun! I instantly connected because you don’t seem to be chasing the “have-tos.” It’s realistic.
    Thank you!
P.S. Due to your review we did go to Flying L’s. My kids are 10, 6, and 2 so it seemed like something for all of them. Plus I hate crowds ( almost lost the 6yr old at Seaworld when I was pregnant with the third on 4th of July. I know, what was I thinking lol ) Not only did they have a blast, the hubby and I did too. Unfortunately we had an incident with some outright racists but despite their preference we will go back.

    • Hi Jessica! Thank you so much! I am so glad you found Livin’ Sassy and the Flying L. I am sorry about the incident. I am not sure why people act the way they do. I appreciate your kind words and being a reader. Maybe we can meet in person one day around SA! Take care, Laura

  10. Laura, I finally took time to look at your blog. I love it. You do a great job of reminding all of the things that are really most important in life. I love it! Thanks for being a blessing to so many. Judy

  11. How do I get the bows if I want to buy them

    • Hi there! Are talking about the bows from Sam Moon I blogged about awhile back? I can’t think of any other hair bows! Sam Moon has a website and you can check there or you can always go in one of their stores. I’ve shopped there since the early 1990’s when I lived in Dallas, way, way before online shopping! Hope that helps.
